The questions appear across our screens and echo in our minds: When will things return to “normal?” What will the “new normal” look like? But we persevere, pushing through the uncertainty.
Community Health Centers reside at the center of the pandemic’s impacts, ensuring that the most vulnerable receive care despite the financial, emotional, and social challenges they themselves endure. And Community Health Centers’ resilience will yield a foundation for recovery and opportunities for reinvention based on the lessons learned.
While there is no guarantee that the crisis will have passed, Embracing Change: Recovery, Resilience, and Reinvention will address where our network stands, identify the gaps exposed under the past year’s strain, and share the tools and knowledge to employ change to strengthen our work. Sessions will focus on the impacts from greater use of technology, the skills to maintain effectiveness during personal stress and uncertain circumstances, and the strategies to overcome the challenges – both new and enduring – to serving Maine people.
Following last year’s format, our 2021 conference will take place virtually on Thursday afternoons in October; 10/7, 10/14, and 10/21 will be plenary sessions, with the 10/28 session a Board of Directors Orientation.
New this year: We have added 30 minutes to the beginning of the first 3 sessions, dedicated to the MPCA Clinical & Administrative Awards, where health center staff will be honored for their outstanding work in the communities they serve. The awards ceremonies will be followed by 2 full hours of expert content, making this year’s sessions run from 2:30 – 5:00 PM.
Please MARK YOUR CALENDARS and plan to virtually join us in October!
