In this two-part series, Mary Dowes, CPA, Senior Manager at BerryDunn, will dive into the development of a compliant sliding fee scale and preparing a Medicare Cost Report.

All health centers are required to provide care regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. The first session, How to Develop a Compliant Sliding Fee Scale, addresses developing a compliant sliding fee scale. This topic is one that is frequently problematic during operational site visits.

Health centers are also required to complete an annual Medicare Cost Report. Our second session, Preparing a Medicare Cost Report, addresses the information that you need as a health center to either complete your own cost report or provide to the entity that does this for you.
