In this webinar, Dr. Leonard Brennan, DMD, Director of MOTIVATE (Maine Oral Team-Based Initiative: Vital Access to Education) and Co-Director of Harvard School of Dentistry Medicine’s Geriatric Fellowship Program, will describe the multiple relationships between oral health and chronic disease diagnoses, and how co-morbid conditions impact oral health. He will also demonstrate tools for chronic disease screening that can be done within dental practice and share best practices for managing the oral health effects of chronic disease.

Dr. Brennan is Director of MOTIVATE (Maine Oral Team-Based Initiative: Vital Access to Education), Co-Director of Harvard School of Dentistry Medicine’s Geriatric Fellowship Program, and is a part-time lecturer in their Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology. Dr. Brennan has practiced general dentistry in Portland, Maine for more than thirty years and has extensive experience developing team based approaches to multidisciplinary teams caring for the elderly and underserved in rural areas. Dr. Brennan completed a Harvard University Geriatric Dental Research and Teaching Fellowship Program, and was recognized for his postdoctoral work at Harvard as the recipient of the Dr. James Dunning Award for excellence in biomedical research and teaching.
