In the wake of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, healthcare workforce is a high need for Community Health Centers (CHCs) across the nation. Taking a full spectrum approach to the workforce needs of your organization is a valuable tool to ensuring that you have the staff necessary to provide high quality care to your patients. Presenters Sarah Macrander (she/her), Senior Health Operations Manager at Colorado Community Health Network and Ashley Gibson (she/her), Workforce Development Director at Kentucky Primary Care Association will provide participants with the building blocks to adopt a comprehensive workforce plan (CWP) and take meaningful steps to implement these strategies within their organizations.
Objectives:
- Understand why a comprehensive approach to workforce is valuable for ensuring high quality patient care.
- Understand the various components of a comprehensive workforce plan (CWP) and the value of investing in its development.
- Explore which components are of highest need for an organization.
- Participants will have a clear understanding of what is needed to make progress on at least one component of a CWP.
