Deep Dive into the Final Rules for FQHCs; Medicare PFS, OPPS, and MaineCare

Medicare releases policy decisions in their Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) and Outpatient Payment Perspective System (OPPS) final rules annually that affect FQHCs. Join us to learn of the many beneficial changes and additions to Medicare services for the FQHC in CY 2024.

In this training, Susan Whittaker, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I, Training & Risk Management Program Manager at Maine Primary Care Association, will explore the finer details of the final rules as they pertain to FQHCs.
She will highlight the changes to FQHC Medicare services such as additions to Chronic Care Management that allows Community Health Worker time and Remote Patient Monitoring time to be reimbursed. Susan will discuss the eligibility changes for Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors to enroll in Medicare.

• Learn of the changes to Medicare’s Chronic Care Management (CCM) services in the FQHC, including the new payment methodology, and how to be reimbursed for Community Health Worker time.
• Learn Medicare’s dental coverage updates for 2024.
• Understand MaineCare’s final rules for telehealth, and the National Diabetes Prevention Program.
