MePCA PSO SafeTable Event

The goal of the MePCA Patient Safety Organization (PSO) is to reduce medical errors and build a culture of safety. One of the strategies employed by PSOs is the SafeTable – an interactive review and discussion of a non-identifiable patient safety event. SafeTables are a valuable opportunity to learn best practices in patient safety. In collaboration with our ECRI partners, we will present the SafeTable using non-identifiable cases from the ECRI national database of patient safety events.

The MePCA PSO will be hosting a SafeTable Event on 12/2/20 at 11:30 am, as a 60-minute collaborative interactive meeting available by Zoom; the meeting will be focused on laboratory error. There will be a presentation, a didactic portion and a portion where participants may offer guidance and suggestions on improving or changing outcomes. Please include any members of your CHC interested in promoting the culture of safety. This event is open to all of the Maine CHC network, not only PSO members.

From 12:30 pm-1:30pm, PSO members will be asked to remain on the zoom to discuss future planning and grant opportunities.

You will need to review, sign and return a Confidentiality Agreement to Greta Cummings prior to the Safe Table. It is required for participation.
