Director of Nasson Health Care
Full Time, Exempt Position
Starting annual salary range is $135,000 – $145,000

 

York County Community Action Corporation is seeking a Director for Nasson Health Care. This position works collaboratively with a team of health care and management professionals to direct the operation of Nasson Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center in York County, Maine.  Nasson’s service area includes a Medically Underserved Population area comprising Sanford and nine adjacent communities, as well as designation as a Healthcare for the Homeless and Public Housing Primary Care provider county-wide. The Director of Nasson Health Care oversees the operations of this interdisciplinary health center, with the goal of providing broad access to high quality medical, dental and behavioral health care to patients, regardless of their ability to pay.  The Director also represents the health center as a member of the YCCAC senior management team. The ideal candidate will have a leadership style that supports the mission and values of Nasson Health Care and YCCAC; the ability to manage a large and diverse staff; effectively draft a sound annual budget and manage revenue and expenditures; and ensure compliance with the requirements of various funders and regulatory agencies.

This position works collaboratively to integrate health and social services to address the Social Drivers of Health and improve patient/client outcomes. YCCAC is one of fewer than 20 organizations nationally that is both a Community Health Center and Community Action Agency, providing both health and social services in a single organization. This provides a unique opportunity to address the needs of the whole patient, including addressing social needs to improve health outcomes.

The preferred candidate will have a degree in Public Health, Health care Administration or other field related to administration of a FQHC; at least two years’ experience in a FQHC health care delivery program; familiarity with HRSA funded health care delivery programs; the demonstrated ability to effectively manage program and fiscal elements of a non-profit health care program; experience and/or understanding of third-party reimbursement from both public and private sources; and a thorough understanding of poverty related issues.
