SUMMARY:HR 1 Medicaid Redetermination and Work Requirements
DESCRIPTION:Quick Links:\nRegistration \nThis training will provide an overview of the community engagement requirement as a condition of Medicaid eligibility for low income working age adults. In addition to describing the basic requirements of the law\, the session will update participants on the current state of implementation\, which becomes fully effective in January\, 2027\, as well as important considerations for minimizing coverage denial and loss. \nAttendees will gain a better understanding of: \n\nThe key elements of Medicaid community engagement policy for low income working age adults;\nStrategies for minimizing erroneous coverage denials and loss; and\nThe role of Community Health Centers in protecting coverage for medically frail beneficiaries as well as people enrolling in Medicaid because of serious or complex health conditions.\n\nSpeaker: Sara Rosenbaum\, J.D.\, Professor of Health Law and Policy and Founding Chair of the Department of Health Policy at the Milken Institute School of Public Health\, George Washington University\, Washington D.C. \nTarget audience for full training series: CEOs\, CFOs\, COOs. \nCost: MPCA will invoice health centers who register for the compliance training series for a $450 fee. This fee covers all registrants from that health center for all of the sessions.
