Webinar #4 – Adult MaineCare with Dr. Walawender

Navigating the many different policies, rules, and codes that make up the MaineCare Benefits Manual can be daunting. During this webinar, we will be joined by Dr. Jeffrey Walawender, DDS, Executive Director and Chief Dental Officer at Community Dental Maine. Dr. Walawender will help participants learn MaineCare’s guidelines regarding their limited/emergency adult dental benefit; recognize tips and tricks in determining when a procedure is covered; and demonstrate competency in interpreting covered dental treatment for MaineCare adults through case examples.

Dr. Walawender graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2009 and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2010.  He has worked at Community Dental since 2010 and holds current roles as the AEGD Site Director, Chief Dental Officer, and Executive Director.  Dr. Walawender is a board member at Northeast Delta Dental and Community Dental.  He is an Assistant Professor with Tufts School of Dental Medicine, an Attending at Maine Medical Center, and a Diplomat with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Career interests include Special Needs Dentistry and Endodontics.
