With the American Rescue Plan Act (APRA) passage, the Child Tax Credit (CTC) has been expanded and provides additional financial support to families across the country. The CTC is a significant opportunity to help low-income families in our towns and cities. The Credit has the potential to lift families out of poverty and help parents start down a sustainable work path, but many families who qualify have not yet signed up. Local leaders have a pivotal role to play in ensuring families who are not already signed up access these resources for their families.
