Data Quality Program Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations Improvement
Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 DOE

(This is a hybrid position (mostly remote) which requires participation at in-person meetings in the Augusta area and travel to FQHCs throughout Maine)

The Data Quality Program Manager is part of an innovative and growing department at Maine Primary Care Association (MPCA), supporting the improvement of clinical processes and patient outcomes through implementation of health information technology and data-driven decision making. The Data Quality Program Manager will collaborate with health centers to ensure quality data is used in decision-making analytics which inform decisions on care delivery, programming, and finance.

MPCA leads the Community Health Center Network of Maine (CHCNet), which supports FQHCs’ use of health IT and integrated data to provide high-quality care to patients. MPCA’s CHCNet provides training and technical assistance to health center staff on a range of care topics. For this role, we are seeking someone with experience in primary care operations, specifically in medical coding and health information technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Support and Training to CHCNet Health Centers
  • Provide billing and coding support to member health centers
  • Research and track CMS and MaineCare policy updates
  • Identify and disseminate resources to health center staff using various methods (direct training/technical assistance, group educational sessions, learning collaboratives, etc.) in pursuit of project-specific goals and participating health center priorities
  • Support administration of program grants and deliverables including planning project activities, coordinating project implementation, convening a billing/coding peer group, setting and tracking deadlines, reporting activities, and convening the stakeholders needed to ensure that project deliverables meet all requirements and expectations
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations Improvement to prepare project reports and regular status updates and maintain project records and statistical information
  • Attend relevant stakeholder and advisory meetings to support overall program implementation and evaluation
  • Identify areas of need for training and technical assistance, develop and facilitate trainings

 

Manage MPCA Organizational and Program Information Systems:

  • Assist Director of Operational Improvement to manage and maintain data that supports MPCA’s organizational goals and specific program initiatives and requirements
  • Collaborate with Director of Operational Improvement to respond to requests for program related data from program managers, MPCA leadership and Board of Directors, funders, external oversight and partner organizations, and general inquiries
  • Support and plan internal process improvement initiatives led by the Director of Operations Improvement
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations Improvement and other MPCA Staff on programmatic and organizational priorities identified by MPCA leadership

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • BA/BS and/or at least two years of related/transferable experience
  • Hold a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) credential with the American Academy of Professional Coders
  • Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and the ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Experience creating educational materials and PowerPoint presentations
  • Excellent time management skills

 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with electronic health records (i.e. Athena, eCW, Epic, and NextGen)
  • Experience with Federally Qualified Health Centers
  • Experience in medical records auditing (or CPMA)
  • Experience with Asana
  • Experience with Salesforce
