MPCA is pleased to announce our annual call for nominations for six categories of Clinical Excellence Awards and for the Unsung Hero Award. Nomination forms can be accessed HERE.
Clinical Awards:
Whether physician, dentist, nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant, behaviorist, or clinical support staff the dedicated health center staff among our state’s health centers make access to health services a reality for scores of underserved areas in Maine. These devoted staff who share their professional talents in communities otherwise lacking adequate access to primary care deserve to be recognized as heroes for their investments in an improved quality of life.
MPCA is requesting nominations for recognition of MPCA member staff in the following categories:
- Physician Excellence Award (Carol Eckert, MD Memorial Award)
- Excellence in Oral Health Award
- Nurse Practitioner Excellence Award
- Physician’s Assistant Excellence Award
- Behavioral Health Excellence Award
- Clinical Support Excellence Award
Open to all community health center staff, board members, volunteers, or other individual associated with an MPCA member organization, the Unsung Hero Award is broad in its reach and by design meant to recognize those not usually recognized through traditional awards criteria. The nominee must have contributed their skill, time and effort towards furthering the vision, mission, and strategy of their health center.
Competitive nominations should address these criteria and must be submitted no later than July 19th. Nominations may be sent to Lisa Frost.
Awards will be presented at the MPCA Annual Conference in Bar Harbor on October 16, 2019. Your participation in this process and the time you contribute enhances our ability to recognize those who have given and continue to give to underserved communities in Maine.
