We are excited to welcome you to MPCA’s 2022 Annual Conference: Workforce Reimagined: Connecting, Transforming, Innovating taking place at the Samoset Resort in beautiful Rockport, ME, Oct. 5-6! It has been almost three years since we have been able to gather together, and we hope that over this 2-day event you will have the chance to network and re-connect, and perhaps establish some new relationships along the way.
The COVID pandemic has challenged every aspect of life, health and employment, placing great strain on our health center workforce. Supporting Maine’s largest healthcare network is our top priority, and to that end we have brought together speakers from around the state and across the country to address timely and critical topics such as systems of safety, clinical support ratios, creating a sustainable workforce, retention incentives, and the integration of community health workers. On Day 2 we will have focused clinical discussions on opioids use disorder treatments, IDD, aging adults, and LGBTQ+ care, and more.
Our conference opens on Oct. 5 with Michael Curry, Esq., President & CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers presenting a focused look at the history of the Community Health Center movement – particularly as it relates to health equity – and the importance of building a workforce the represents the diversity of the communities we serve. Mr. Curry, a renowned speaker on these issues, will help us unpack and more deeply understand the importance of the services that community health centers provide.
Join us as we gather with stakeholders and partners near and far for in-depth presentations, panel discussions, and conversations on issues impacting our workforce and how we can best provide support during these difficult times.
MPCA has secured a block of rooms at the Samoset Resort for the nights of 10/4 and 10/5, priced from $169-$309, plus tax/fees. Once you register, you will receive information in your confirmation email on how to book your room.
