Online job forums such as Indeed, Monster, and Idealist, as well as social media sites like LinkedIn are a great resource for finding candidates—but crafting a job listing that appeals to candidates faced with an onslaught of listings from dozens or hundreds of organizations can be challenging.

This presentation will discuss the importance of language, style, and content in creating effective job announcements for a variety of job boards. Join us as Helen Rhea Vernier, Training Specialist, and Michelle Fernández Gabilondo, Associate Director of Workforce Development, from ACU’s The STAR2 Center delve into how to

  • Structure an interview and create interview questions that will help high-quality candidates stand out,
  • Find candidates that will add value to your organization, and
  • Support equity and diversity in your workforce.

The STAR2 Center team will guide attendees through the process of building a job listing that will draw in strong applicants. They will also discuss how to structure interviews that find a great match between candidate and employer, as well as ways to bolster your organization’s justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) efforts throughout the application and interview process.

Target Audience: Health Center Leaders, HR, recruiters, those involved with hiring process.
