Optometrist

Greater Portland Health is seeking an Optometrist to fill a full-time (32-40 hours) and part-time (20-24 hours) role in providing full-scope optometric eye care in a primary care setting. Responsibilities include clinical and administrative tasks to support our patient’s overall care.

Requirements:

Applicants must be a graduate from a Doctor of Optometry degree program accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education.
They must obtain a license to practice in the State of Maine, including passage of all parts of NBEO board examinations.
Residency training and knowledge of the structure, function and laws governing community health centers is preferred.
