Elizabeth Keene, MA
Elizabeth Keene serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Maine Primary Care Association. In this role, she is responsible for agency operations and facilitates efficiency, effectiveness and synchronicity of services. Prior to joining MPCA, she served as Vice President of Mission Integration at St. Mary’s Health System in Lewiston, Maine where she developed and implemented programs to integrate the organization’s mission and values and provided oversight of social accountability. Elizabeth began her health care career in Baltimore, MD where she created the volunteer and bereavement program for Johns Hopkins Home Hospice and then helped to establish the Harriet Lane Compassionate Care program (for pediatric palliative care) at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. She is a fellow in Thanatology from the Association of Death Education and Counseling. Elizabeth received her B.A. from Wellesley College and her M.A. from Boston College.
